The California Division of Workers’ Compensation said it is closing a virtual district office in Eureka on Oct. 18 and shifting cases to Santa Rosa.
Beginning Oct. 1, all hearing requests will be scheduled in the Santa Rosa district office, the DWC said.
Hearings that are currently set for Eureka will remain as scheduled. After Oct. 18, all hearings will be scheduled for Santa Rosa.
The division said trials, expedited hearings and lien trials are held in person in Santa Rosa. Parties can petition a judge for a virtual hearing, with those requests being decided on a case-by-case basis....
