Wednesday, July 17, 2024 | 442 | 0

SACRAMENTO, CA - The Coalition of Professional Photocopiers (CPP) has released the Board's election results for this term's President, Vice President and Secretary positions.

At its July meeting, the Board elected Mike Callan, President of Republic Document Management as President of the Coalition.  Callan brings 29 years of experience working in the industry.  Under his leadership, Republic has specialized in providing document retrieval services to injured workers and their attorneys.

Callan replaces CPP's immediate past President Dan Mora, founder of Gemini Legal Services, who completed his sixth consecutive term as the Coalition's leader. Among other things, Mora worked with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to implement and revise the copy service fee schedule.

The Board elected Diann Cohen as Vice President of the Coalition. Cohen is Vice President of Client Relations and Education at Macro-Pro, Inc., a company focused on defense-only document retrieval services, with 26 years of industry experience.

The Board welcomed back Stephen Schneider as Secretary of CPP.  Mr. Schneider is the owner of ScanFiles Inc. and DWC Direct LLC/ DocuCents that provide outsourced document mailing, eFiling and electronic delivery services. Mr. Schneider also founded Med-Legal Photocopy that he sold in 2012.

"Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to our mission and will be highly effective in working with DIR and all of the stakeholders in the workers' compensation industry," said Mora.

Mora also stated, "Diann will strongly complement Mike's leadership in her position as Vice President of the Coalition.  Over the years, she has built solid relationships with industry and employer colleagues."

"The Board and I are thrilled that Stephen will continue his role as Secretary of CPP. His tech experience and entrepreneurial genius will complete the Coalition's strong leadership team on behalf of the CPP's Board," added Mora.

The Coalition of Professional Photocopiers (CPP) was established in 2018 to represent the interests of applicant and defense document retrieval companies (professional photocopiers) whose mission is to enhance the health and efficiency of the California workers' compensation system for all stakeholders.

The Coalition's goal is to sponsor and negotiate sensible changes to promote a healthy, robust, and fair ecosystem for all stakeholders.  CPP has published recommendations for the industry's Best Practices as part of the Coalition's mission to enhance the understanding of document retrieval services and their significance in the workers' compensation industry with the end goal of minimizing industry conflict.

The Coalition will continue to be represented by Kammerer & Company, Inc. who serves as CPP's government and public affairs firm.
